Merino/Lambswool Broadcloth Blanket
This is a beautiful, elegant blanket. At first, I was reluctant because of the price. It is well worth the money. I prefer to purchase goods made in the USA, so the fact that it was made right here in my native New England was a big draw for me...supporting the American Economy. Really fine quality. A good blanket for cold nights, yet, very light. Highly recommend...worth the extra $$$.

Merino wool blanket
I purchased a herringbone, merino wool, washable blanket. It is amazing, light weight yet warm. I live in Northern New Mexico where the nights get very cold in the winter, this blanket is perfect, it does not have the weight of so many others but has all the warmth. I wouldn't trade it!!!!!

Exceptional!
I bought my Merino/Lambswool Herringbone twin hazelnut on sale and am totally in love with it! It's a purchase that I'll forever be happy with.
I really hesitated for awhile before buying it because of the price, although I knew that it would be worth every penny (reading about the company, the artisans who do this and operate the special old looms, the detailed descriptions of their products and care instructions, and, of course, made right here in America). I live in San Francisco and the nights can be cold. Although I have a light weight down comforter, I've been really cold for some time when the temperature dips. The first time I spread the blanket over my bed and got in under it, the experience was pure bliss. No weight to speak of, yet total encapsulating warmth. The feel of it, the wonderful way it drapes, just the gorgeousness of this quality blanket, is a gift to oneself or to another. Really a bargain for such quality, with or without a sale. Thank you Brahms Mount!

True Elegance
I own many Brahm's blankets. Everyone is special but I am especially happy with the merino wool four season. they are pricey but oh, so worth it.

Light yet so warm
Even at clearance price this blanket was a huge extravagance...but it is THE best blanket I've ever owned. Hard to believe how warm it is considering it feels nearly weightless, and the quality is so good I think it might last forever.

Magical Lightness
I'm almost a connoisseur of wool blankets, since wool does not itch my skin and I like to sleep directly under the blanket without a top sheet. This time, I wanted an intermediate season blanket, not too heavy, but far warmer than the best cotton fleece blanket (which I use in the summer). I got the herringbone pattern in a discontinued color (granite) on clearance, and even I, hard to impress with blankets, find this product to be like magic, in its weightless feel, warmth, beautiful pattern, and hand, that is soft and smooth but with the slightest nice ribbing from the herringbone) weave. It proves that an American mill, at least Brahms Mount, can equal anything from Europe! Unless your locale is very cold indeed, this blanket can serve four seasons.

Purchased 2 wool blankets and I love both, they are beautifully made, warm and great to look at. Just what I hoped they would be.

Just what I hoped it would be.
We purchased this item at a discount because of a flaw in the weave. Although when we received the blanket, the flaw was a little more serious than what I had expected, the blanket is wonderful. Not only beautiful, but just the right weight and warmth. It suits our belgian linen sheets perfectly, and I couldn't be happier.

The lambswool blanket has changed my life.
I live in a very drafty apartment in a 60's high rise; it gets really cold in the winter. (I know, I know, it's not as cold as Maine, still...) I was seriously considering moving and giving up my fabulous treetop view, but now I don't have to.
This blanket is worth every penny. It keeps me toasty warm and the hand of it is just remarkable. Absolute luxury. And practicality.
Warmest Regards,
Pamela

Great Customer Service
I received an item on clearance the was either arrived damage or damaged after one wash. They tried repairing it and when they couldn't do so sent a new one. This is what customer service everywhere should be like, but sadly isn't. The blanket itself is light, and just right in the warmth department.

All Brahms Mount blankets and throws are pre-washed and pre-shrunk. While our products have the ease of home washing and drying, they are still made of natural fibers and should be cared for accordingly.

WASHING:

  • Wash separately in cold water on a short, gentle cycle, with as much water as possible to allow for movement
  • Avoid harsh detergents
  • Use a liquid detergent without bleach or brighteners
  • Always pre-dilute your detergent

DRYING:

Careful drying is really important. Tumble dry on a delicate setting, low to no heat. Remove promptly. Do not overdry.

Brahms Mount keeps rolls of woven fabric on our shelves. An in stock product may not yet be finished and ready to ship. For this reason, all orders should be expected to ship within two weeks.
