Made in Maine, since 1983

Made in the USA

Modern comfort. Made in the USA.

The phrase “Made in America” gets bandied about a lot these days, but have you ever wondered what it really means?

Some companies “making” goods in America actually source finished fiber from Europe or Asia, then do cut and sew work in their facilities. Others import finished products from overseas and resell them in their own retail establishments, often placing their own private labels on them.

As one of the few remaining American textile mills, Brahms Mount buys only a portion of the yarns we use from abroad. Made of the finest natural fibers and colorfast, eco-friendly dyes, our yarns come direct from some of the world’s best sources - Many of which are right here in the U.S.

All of our designs originate at our headquarters in Maine, and every textile is woven on our looms by local artisans, just as we’ve done since the company was founded in 1983. The pieces come off the loom feeling clean and untreated, rich and resilient. The raw textiles are then finished to product specifications, inspected, washed, packaged and shipped – right from our modern and efficient mill in Monmouth, Maine.

At Brahms Mount, we’re proud to use machines and methods that have stood the test of time and still produce the best quality available – and even prouder to play a role in keeping American manufacturing alive and well.

Modern comfort. Maine tradition.
